Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using Taskieo. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Taskieo.

These Terms apply to customers who book services and to Taskers who provide services through the platform.

1. The Platform

Taskieo is a marketplace that connects customers with independent contractors (“Taskers”) who provide local services. Taskieo, Inc. is not a party to the service contract between customers and Taskers. Taskers are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or representatives of Taskieo, Inc..

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You may not transfer your account to another person.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Bookings and Pricing

Estimates: Prices shown during the booking flow are estimates based on the information you provide. Final pricing may vary if the actual scope of work differs from what was described. Any changes to scope should be agreed upon by you and the Tasker before work begins.

Service fee: A platform service fee (currently 7% of the service price) is added to every booking. This fee is displayed before you confirm your request.

Payment timing: Your payment method is authorized when you submit a booking request. Your payment method is charged after the service is completed and you confirm the work is done.

Cancellations: Cancellation policies may vary. Cancellation fees may apply if a Tasker has already been matched and dispatched. Cancellation fee details will be disclosed before you confirm a cancellation.

4. Membership Plans

Using Taskieo does not require a subscription. On the Free plan there is no recurring charge — you pay only for the tasks you book. We also offer two paid monthly plans that reduce the service fee applied to your bookings.

• Free: $0. No subscription and no recurring charge. You pay per task at standard service fee rates.
• Plus: $9.00 per month. Reduced service fees and priority Tasker matching on every booking.
• Pro: $14.00 per month. Our lowest service fees, recurring bookings with a preferred Tasker, and priority support.

The following terms apply to both paid plans:

• Billing: Automatically billed to your payment method on the same day each month
• Renewal: Your subscription automatically renews each month unless cancelled
• Changing plans: You may switch between paid plans at any time from your Account settings. A change takes effect at the start of your next billing period.
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time from your Account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial-month refunds are issued.
• Free trial: If a free trial is offered, it will be clearly disclosed at the time of sign-up along with what you will be charged at the end of the trial period.
• Taxes: Prices shown exclude applicable taxes, which are added at checkout where required.

5. Tasker Terms

By registering as a Tasker, you represent that you are legally authorized to work, that you have the skills and equipment required for the services you offer, and that you will comply with all applicable laws.

• Payouts: Earnings are released after a task is marked completed and the customer confirms the work. Payouts are processed to your registered bank account or payment method. Processing times depend on your payout method and may take 1–5 business days.
• Platform fee: Taskieo deducts a platform fee from each completed task. The current fee rate is displayed in your Earnings section.
• Independent contractor: You are an independent contractor. You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Ratings: Customers may leave ratings and reviews after a completed booking. Only reviews from verified, completed bookings are published.
• Verification: Any “background checked” or similar badges are only displayed when Taskieo has completed and confirmed that specific verification. You will be notified when your verification status changes.

6. Reviews and Ratings

Reviews may only be submitted by customers who have completed a booking with a Tasker. Taskieo does not create, edit, or fabricate reviews. All published reviews reflect real experiences from real customers. Taskieo reserves the right to remove reviews that violate our content standards.

7. Prohibited Conduct

• Circumventing the platform to pay or accept payment outside Taskieo
• Harassment, threats, or abusive behavior toward other users
• Providing false information in your profile or booking requests
• Using the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempting to access another user's account or data

8. Disputes and Refunds

If you have a dispute about a completed service, you may report a problem through the task tracking screen. Taskieo will review disputes and may issue refunds at its discretion. Disputes must be reported within 48 hours of task completion.

9. Limitation of Liability

Taskieo, Inc. is a marketplace platform. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the quality of services performed by Taskers, for any property damage or personal injury arising from a service, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email or in-app notification at least 7 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
